El Dorado Mexican Restaurant and Cantina in El Dorado Springs

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten.

The food was okay. The cheese sauce was revolting but other than that it was good. The chips and salsa were amazing but, the service and the actual building were gross. There was only one server, and he joked and sat around with one group of kids who were half his age. He also sat on his phone a majority of the time and never asked us how our food was. The group of kids just walker all through the restaurant and were loud and obnoxious. They walked back into the employee station and kitchen whenever they pleased. The server hanging out with them was daring them to drink the hot sauce and all sorts of things. The actual building was disgusting. I could see in the kitchen and I almost gagged. Its was flat out gross. The seats obviously hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The food really was good but the staff, and people there are horrible.

Always great,never disappointed when we eat here. The food is amazing and the service is above and beyond. No matter if you base your experience on small town or large, it's a great place to eat!

This place is sooooo good!! We just moved here and are stoked to find it. Amazing food, awesome service, clean, friendly, super fast and very reasonable price. It will be our new date night destination.

Decent food and decent service.

The food is pretty good, it's one of the better places to eat in El Dorado, but remember there is not very many places to eat in El Do. And the service is terrible here. I refuse to eat here anymore. I would rather drive the 19 miles to Nevada to get good food and good service.

A great alternative to the everyday chain. The waiter was wonderful as always and very helpful as well. The food tasted great and was presented beautifully. I have read some of the reviews on here that mentioned the building being ran down. However, the building is fine. If the restaurant were in a "better" building, prices would have to go up to make up the difference in cost.

Excellent food & Service. A big step above the ordinary Mexican fast food. Nicely seasoned and some interesting ingredients. Very well prepared.

Friendly service and great food. We went in close to close on a weeknight, we checked to make sure they were ok with it first, and everything was just as good as it always is. Fresh chips, and hot food and we chatted with the hostess who was super friendly!

Passed through town today and decided to try it out. The food was amazing and the waiter was even better. I think his name was Ethen. Will definitely be stopping in next time I come through. Might be the best small town restaurant experience I have had in quite a long time.

Really good food.as real as it gets, in the area, it is consistent when we've been there always plate to Plate time to time the same very good food and people you want to have a good time take your family out eat some really good Mexican food highly recommended

Mediocre food service could have been better. Chile Relleno had a taste that would remind you of being freezer burnt. Chimichanga was soggy.

Lunch was OK. Pretty one-note flavors. Shared big combo platter to try different options, everything was dressed in one thick orange/red sauce. Beans were indistinguishable from sauce. Good chips. Server was excellent.

Attended staff, went at opening and had our food fast, comparably to other places in larger cities.

We stopped in, on our way back from the lake. Quick, and delicious food!

Place was clean, service was excellent, food was alright. We made reservations for 9 people & they had the table ready & clean. I would recommend it.

Sauce wasn't to hot for me. So I ate them chips a sauce. Also had steak tacos. With out hot sauce. They were delicious. Good size portions also.

Always fresh, delicious and fast! I recommend the chory pollo if you love chorizo like I do!
